Time seems to be quickly passing as Frederick and the team make their way back to Hamilton. It’s hard to believe but Frederick and the team arrived in Toronto today.
The last 4 days have been booked full of speaking engagements and awards to dignitaries, youth and of course one of the Run for Youth team members, Micheal. On Friday, October 28th, Frederick and the team celebrated a bittersweet end to Micheal’s journey along the run. Micheal who was an RBC intern with Liberty for Youth over the last 3 months completed his term Friday and so it was only natural to say farewell with a chocolate cake and lots of kind words and encouragement. Liberty for Youth participants and our Program Facilitator Cliff, made the trek to Bowmanville Friday night to share their gratitude and to see Micheal off. Micheal, Liberty for Youth cannot thank you enough for all the hard work you have done for this Run campaign, you were truly a blessing and we all wish you the very best in your future endeavors.
As the team suited up to keep up the pace, the weekend came with a lot of visits and a lot of km’s. Frederick ended up in Bowmanville & 510.5km this past Sunday, October 30th and is on the final stretch home!
Please see all the great adventures along their route these last few days below.
